Dudes:
Buster Madison Exp
Reverend C.A. Johnson
Wise Cloud
Bites the Hand
Shouting Tom
Deeds:
J Road House
Q Town Well
K Gomorra Volunteer Fire Brigade
K Hydro-Accelerator
Actions:
8 4x Kidnapping
9 4x Divided Loyalties
10 4x Eureka's Rage
J 4x Rumors
Q 2x Sauce for the Gander
Q 2x Between the Cracks
Events:
8 4x It was a Mountain Lion
Q 4x Los Diablos Stampede
Spells:
9 4x Curse
9 3x Sticks to Snakes
10 4x Blood Curse
Q 4x Babble On
Explaination:
I've never played an influence reducing deck in a tournament, and generally have little experience with it.
I have however played Mountain Lions and Stampedes before.
I did have a deck ages ago that used Kidnapping and Ambush, then would pistol whip and such to automatically win the job. Using cards like Hope in Winter, and Summon Spirit.
The deck only starts with 2 Influence, and is very risky, you'll either win fast, or lose fast. Any while running very little in the shooter role, and hoping to rely on Sticks to Snakes, the values give you a good chance of getting a flush with anyone, with cheating full houses easily available.
While no doubt anyone reading this won't be impressed with the deck and it's high risk "throw everything and hope to win" I'll probably keep the deck together to show my friends i'm trying to teach to play the importance of having a good influence base on the table to start with (which is why I built this deck last month). |

Not that it will ever happen, but I would love to see how this does against "A Reaping of Cards" (The Jason Jung/Tim Meyer 1st turn win Coalition Deck) _________________ Cause I'm Austin Stoker, yes I'm the real Stoker. To be honest, I think I could make the deck better by ditching 1 of the 3 spell types, which would let me have a much better starting lineup. Also bearing in mind this deck is very much untested.
Only other influencing reducing deck i've tried was Lost Angels due to the strong line up of Blessed and Hucksters. This time I fancied trying to throw all three together, and searching for an additional spirit sounds like a good idea. It was basically a deck I threw together to stop my mate I'm teaching to play starting with 1 guy with influence. |

"Reaping" uses all three, and with the Coalition, that isn't a problem what so ever. Los Ojios Del Dios anyone? _________________ Cause I'm Austin Stoker, yes I'm the real Stoker. Eggs? Basket?
What do you do if one of any number of things take him out? |

generally, you won't get the chance to take him out. I have never had a game go more than one turn, and I just sit at home and cackle.
But, I agree about "putting all ones egs in the same basket which is why ny starting possee is usually a variation on :
Bobo Leveux
Father Terrance
Los Ojos Del Dios EXP
Sister Mary Jebidiah
There are only 4 spirits in the deck (4 Curses) so if I lose Del Dios, I can still generally manage fine. _________________ Cause I'm Austin Stoker, yes I'm the real Stoker. I'd be interested in seeing the rest of the deck (couldn't seem to find it on here).
Obviously the high values on the guys prevents things like Lions and Diablos from being included in the deck.
Does the deck just rely on spells for that 1 turn?
As for me dropping down to 2 spell types, that's cos the only other deck i've made similar to this was Lost Angels, which can field a strong Blessing and Huckster group, and do well on the mirror match. |

Yeah, you can't find the deck cause last time I communicated with jason jung, he said we should let the deck fade to oblivion (this was a LOOOONG time ago.)
When I came back the deck was not availible anywhere, and I decided to leave it that way.
One of these days Ill PM you the deck list. _________________ Cause I'm Austin Stoker, yes I'm the real Stoker. All you other Austin Stokers ain't nothin' but jokers. So will the real Austin Stoker please stand up, please stand up, please stand up... |

The deck used Demon eye, and Eureka's Rage *Think the non ace version* to refill his hand again with loads of spells.
Babble On of course, Calm for Protection, Puppet as well, Curses as mentioned by Harrowed, also Blood Curse of course, to fill the influence reduction.
Gomorra Volunteer Fire Brigade I think for the cheap cp.
Im not sure about Mind Twist, but actually use all spells to drop inf to zero some manipulation, use demon eyes and eureka to keep refilling your hand alot and then drop 1 cp. |

That's the basic set-up. There's more too it, like Rumors, Bribin', etc, but you covered as much as the public needs to know.
and even with the new text Eureka's Rage, were talking about power turn 1 one win. _________________ Cause I'm Austin Stoker, yes I'm the real Stoker. All you other Austin Stokers ain't nothin' but jokers. So will the real Austin Stoker please stand up, please stand up, please stand up... |

Actually since there is no tourney scene....
In my private session where I have around 5-6 decks, I use some copied and some self made decks or also some copied improved decks, I found out that the sioux render deck is the most consistent of all, actually beating all decks up. |

I am tempted to rebuild this, with maybe Maze Rats. But that's cos I can see Experienced Chao Li being more helpful than searching for a Curse.
Of course, I'd have to drop the Spirits from the deck altogether.
But can throw some Mind Twists, and maybe even Spike Kills Eureka, and after reducing everyones influence just throw everyone into a shootout or something silly like that...
For a Starting Lineup:
Experienced Chao Li
Experienced Buster Madison
Reverend C.A. Johnson
Shigetoshi Hohiro
Marko Muscovich
This is 19 Ghostrock spent, but gives me 4 influence over 3 guys, alot better than 2. |
