Playing around in photoshop for something I am working on, I decided to play with some Stylized Mons.

Here's what I came up with. constructive feedback welcome. (you don't have to like them, but gimmie an idea how I could make them better!)

The Flock:

Law Dogs:

The Agency:

Texas Rangers:

The Coalition:

Thoughts?

while the Law Dogs one I made before WAS inspired by the card design, it didn't really tell the story of the Law Dogs.

I feel these show the fall of the Sheriff's office and the corruption and distortion the badge, and many of the people who wore it.

Much like the homes, each of these represents that point in the story. Original LD, a noble group of men and women fighting for what's right.
Hunters Office, Tarnished, with a few battle scars. The lines between things blur.
Mob Justice, A sheriff gone mad, complete corruption, a dark place for them.

Cool, but if 'every badge tells a story', I don't really see the Rangers mon as embodying the 'stars n bars' of the Confederacy. You might try the classic diagonal stars n bars across the badge.

that actually is the Original "Stars n Bars" Confederate flag, I just (following suit from Doomtown) turned it Vertical to help distinguish it from the "Stars and stripes" of the Agency.

I notice you mention the Diagonal.

That's actually the "Battle flag" of the confederacy and while much more recognizable, I thought the actual confederate flag was better. Perhaps for Patterson and the war's arrival I should make a variant.

Awesome idea, really like the look of these. Are you planning on doing the rest of the Outfits? And are you considering doing a different version for each Home per Outfit? I'd like to see a Flock: CoA with the bible maybe being scorched around the edges or something to that effect. A Blackjacks: Rachels Gang could have a bleeding bullet hole in the skull.

The other Outfits seem a lot more difficult to come up with variants for. Different colored liquids in the Collegium beaker maybe? A bloody arrowhead for the Sioux Union: War Party? That's about all I can come up with off the top of my head, and unfortunately I don't know one bit about Photoshop or I'd tinker with some of these ideas myself.

I might.

There is a kickstarter for a guy who is developing a new process to make custom card sleeves that are super resilient.

I'm a "High end backer" and was one of the first, so I will have a little priority, so I want all my designs done as far in advance as possible., so my first step was to make sleeves for MY decks, The 2011 and 2012 "World Champions", and a couple other purposes.

Once that is all done I might consider taking requests for other people who might want to order sleeves from the gentleman, but, I would provide him with the images (because they are my derivative work, so I have ownership, and for him it's kind of important that he prints sleeves people have the right to get printed.)

So, if you are interested in more information, I can provide it, and as I have time, I will show more of what I have designed.
